Project Green (post #2)

This is a fun one! I didn't remember that we had actually ridden a green coaster until I looked back into my files. My husband Drew took this one at Universal Studios Florida; my three kids and I are in the front row. Great ride!!

Project Green

Thanks to fellow blogger Anna, I have another Project to keep me occupied! (Click here to view Anna's blog and gorgeous pictures, or to see other participants of Project Green.)

The upper picture is a very rare shot at Disneyland-- NO PEOPLE! I couldn't believe that I got to take a shot like that with no one around. Awesome. The lower picture is of Tori and Drew trudging up a hill to take another turn at sledding. I didn't think I would find any green in my Mt. Shasta winter pictures, but I did!! PLT (post #2)

As I was searching through my digital files for more Project Looking Through pictures, I came across several that would fit the bill from our trip to Hawaii last year. The one above was taken at the "Punchbowl" (National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific) looking toward Diamond Head. The one below on the left was taken on a boat ride at the Polynesian Cultural Center; the right picture was taken on the Arizona Memorial looking toward the Battleship Missouri in Pearl Harbor. Aunt Jenny's Turn!

Happy birthday to the best sister-in-law in Nevada!! Hope you have an AWESOME birthday! We miss you and hope we can see you soon. Love ya!

PLT

My blogging cousin Stacy and other bloggers are posting pictures on their blogs for "Project Looking Through". This is just a fun thing started by a fellow blogger as a way to showcase pictures that fit a theme. "PLT" is about pictures that have a sense of looking through something.
(Click here for the link to the original Project Looking Through blog and to view other participant's pictures.)

I think these two pictures taken by Drew fit the theme quite well. They were taken on a vacation we took to Drew's cousin's home in Mt. Shasta, CA a couple of years ago.

  3. You stopped at the corner produce stand and purchased Fruit Roll-Ups
  4. Your refrigerator produce drawers are filled with cold cuts and soda cans
  5. You call peaches "those fuzzy kind of orangish fruit"
  6. You think Kool-Aid counts as a fruit serving
  7. You got scared when you saw your kids eating raisins
  8. You tried eating a wax apple
  9. And thought it wasn't half bad
  10. Neither orange nor lemon-scented Pinesol reminds you of anything

Random Thoughts For Today--

  • The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
  • God grades on the cross, not the curve.
  • The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.
  • Quit griping about your church; if it was perfect, you couldn't belong.
  • The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close.
  • The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble.
  • When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.
