What about Bob?
THIS, my friends, is Bob. Bob is Drew's new buddy. He used to live in England, but now resides with us here in the states. Bob's a real go-getter, and in the near future, I will post photos of his escapades. (Coming soon - Bob's First Haircut!!)

Just wanted to share some pics of the fun we had when my sister Michelle, her bone marrow donor Tony, and his wife Stella came to visit us. We had SUCH a great time together! They truly are like family to us.

Post-Company Depression??
I think I have come up with a new malady. Post-Company Depression. It's what happens when you have people come from out of town to visit you, and you have such a wonderful time with them that you are totally sad and depressed when they leave. That's what I have. PCD.
So. Listen up, Michelle, Tony & Stella. You better get back here REALLY soon so I can be cured of this terrible disease. And I mean SOON, you cheeky monkeys! :-)

School days, school days....
I work as a secretary at a private Christian school. The teachers all came back today for a week long teacher in-service before school actually starts next Tuesday. They attend staff/faculty meetings, set up their rooms, etc.
At a staff meeting this morning, I noticed that the teacher whose room we were using had already placed many decorative things on her walls. This one sign was what really caught my attention:

Project Green (post #2)
Project Green
Thanks to fellow blogger Anna, I have another Project to keep me occupied! (Click here to view Anna's blog and gorgeous pictures, or to see other participants of Project Green.)
The upper picture is a very rare shot at Disneyland-- NO PEOPLE! I couldn't believe that I got to take a shot like that with no one around. Awesome. The lower picture is of Tori and Drew trudging up a hill to take another turn at sledding. I didn't think I would find any green in my Mt. Shasta winter pictures, but I did!! (Click on either image to enlarge)

PLT (post #2)
As I was searching through my digital files for more Project Looking Through pictures, I came across several that would fit the bill from our trip to Hawaii last year. The one above was taken at the "Punchbowl" (National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific) looking toward Diamond Head. The one below on the left was taken on a boat ride at the Polynesian Cultural Center; the right picture was taken on the Arizona Memorial looking toward the Battleship Missouri in Pearl Harbor. PLT
My blogging cousin Stacy and other bloggers are posting pictures on their blogs for "Project Looking Through". This is just a fun thing started by a fellow blogger as a way to showcase pictures that fit a theme. "PLT" is about pictures that have a sense of looking through something.
(Click here for the link to the original Project Looking Through blog and to view other participant's pictures.)
I think these two pictures taken by Drew fit the theme quite well. They were taken on a vacation we took to Drew's cousin's home in Mt. Shasta, CA a couple of years ago.

Random Thoughts For Today--
- The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the right time, but also to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
- God grades on the cross, not the curve.
- The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.
- Quit griping about your church; if it was perfect, you couldn't belong.
- The good Lord didn't create anything without a purpose, but mosquitoes come close.
- The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble.
- When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

This is hilarious! All of you who have had at least "one semester of Spanish" will enjoy this.
I dedicate this video to my Dad who always told us (in a Texas accent) "El burro es un animale muy importante de Mexico" !!!!!

The Cactus Cuties
I just removed a previous posting on this blog that included a video of The Cactus Cuties. Michelle alerted me that she couldn't view the video, so I went back to YouTube and found that the owner of the video had the embedding disabled. So instead of it being right here conveniently for you to view, you'll have to go view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKCVS57j284
It's a great video of a group of little girls, aged 8 to 13, singing the National Anthem at a Texas Tech basketball game. Their harmony is amazing, and definitely worth listening to. Enjoy!
(Thanks for the heads up, Chell!!)

I'm so proud.... *sniff*
It seems strange that three siblings could be raised the exact same way, by the same parents, and two go in the right direction and one goes her own way...
Scott and I have been worried about Michelle for a long time now. How could she stray so far??
Well, our persistent love and caring has paid off. A miracle has occurred! The prodigal sibling has come home...
